Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 28 ounces canned chopped plum tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chicken stock
  • ¼ tsp. each kosher salt and red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp. vodka
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • In a Dutch oven, heat the oil over low heat. Cook the onion until it's soft. Add the garlic and cook another minute. Add everything but the vodka and cream and simmer for 15 minutes. Then stir in the cream and vodka and bring it to a boil. Remove from the heat.
