In a bread machine, add all the ingredients ( but not the topping ingredients) in the order suggested by your bread machine manufacturer. Select the dough cycle.
Meanwhile, make the apple topping. In a medium skillet on medium heat, melt the butter and sugar together. Then add the apples and cinnamon and cook them for 10 minutes.
Also, grease a non-stick bundt pan with melted butter. Add half the apple filling to the bottom of the pan.
Dump the dough onto a floured board and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Put 6 pieces into the bundt pan, on top of the apples. Top with the rest of the filling and then the rest of the dough. Cover and let rise for one hour.
Bake for 40 minutes, and then invert the apple bread onto a plate. Serve warm.
