Mahi Mahi Tacos with Cilantro Aioli
Mahi Mahi Tacos with Cilantro Aioli are a quick, easy, light and delicious meal. I love this dish for several reasons. First of all, this whole dish can be made in thirty minutes. Secondly, it’s a fairly light meal, that won’t weigh you down. And, lastly, it’s full of wonderful flavors. My husband, especially, loves these tacos, because he really likes fish, a lot.
The Equipment I Used
- A Food Processor- I used a food processor to make the cilantro aioli. But, you could also just mince the cilantro finely, and then stir in the rest of the ingredients.
- A Nonstick Skillet- Use a nonstick skillet to cook the fish. That way you don’t have to worry about it sticking to the pan.
- The Microwave- I heat my tortillas up in the microwave. But, you could also heat them up in a skillet, or wrapped in foil in the oven.
The Ingredients Needed for Mahi Mahi Tacos with Cilantro Aioli
- Mahi Mahi- I used mahi mahi. But, you could also use cod, red snapper, halibut, or flounder. Basically, any firm white fish will do.
- Tortillas- You can use corn or flour tortillas, whichever your prefer.
- Mayonnaise- I always use Hellmann’s.
- Cilantro- Fresh cilantro adds so much fresh flavor to this dish.
- Buttermilk- I strongly prefer whole milk buttermilk.
- Lime Juice- Use freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Avocado- I like to buy hard avocados and let them ripen on my counter.
How I Made my Tacos
- First, I mixed up all the spices.
- Then, I made sure the fish was completely coated in all the spices.
- Next, I heated up the oil in the nonstick skillet and cooked the fish until it was cooked and golden brown.
