About My Berry Banana Smoothie for the Vitamix
Filled with frosty berries, creamy banana, and sweet apple juice this smoothie makes a delicious breakfast or afternoon snack. It just takes a minute to blend it up in a blender, or a food processor, if you prefer. Since it uses frozen berries, you never have to worry about searching for often out of season produce. For the best taste I recommend using freshly juiced apples, but since I don’t have a juicer, I’ve found that apple cider makes the best substitute. However, today I used apple juice, since that’s what we had in the pantry, and my smoothie was absolutely delicious. This recipe makes one large smoothie, or two smaller ones. Today I shared one with my husband, John, and it was a yummy afternoon treat.
Berry Banana Smoothie
Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, and apple cider all blend together to create an energizing and refreshing smoothie.
Equipment
- Vitamix blender
Ingredients
- ½ cups frozen mixed berries
- 1¾ cup apple cider or juice
- 1½ cups frozen strawberries
- 1 banana, sliced
Instructions
- Blend everything together in a blender or food processor.
