Cranberry Apple Oatmeal Bowls

Cranberry Apple Oatmeal Bowls are one of our favorite winter breakfasts. This breakfast features creamy oatmeal swirled with a sweet cinnamon Apple Compote. Then, I top the bowls with creamy yogurt, honey, pecans, cranberries, and more apples. GoodMix sent me some of their yummy nut and seed mix so I swirled some of that into the oatmeal, too. We like these bowls for several reasons. First of all, I like that I can make these bowls ahead of time. Then, I just add the toppings right before I serve them. Secondly, I like how healthy these bowls are. I really feel good after eating this nutritious breakfast. And, lastly, we all love how sweet and yummy these bowls taste.
The Equipment I Used
- Saucepans- You’ll need two three -quart saucepans. One is for the oatmeal, and the other is for the Apple Compote.
The Ingredients Needed for Cranberry Apple Oatmeal Bowls
- Butter- Use unsalted butter.
- Brown Sugar- You can use light or dark brown sugar.
- Apples- I really like Granny Smith apples, but you can use whatever apple you prefer.
- Oats- Use old fashioned oats. I like the Bob’s Red Mill brand. I like to store them in the freezer.
- GoodMix Blend 11- goodMix sent me their seed and nut blend to try. You need to soak it the night before, but it tastes really great in the oatmeal. I especially liked the coconut in it. Also, it definitely makes the oatmeal more filling.
- Yogurt- I used Fage plain whole milk Greek yogurt.
How I Made my Oatmeal Bowls
- First, I made the oatmeal and the apple compote. It’s important to watch both so that they don’t burn.
- Next, I added the pecans, cranberries, raw apples, yogurt, and honey to the bowls.
If you like oatmeal, you need to try these hearty and delicious Cranberry Apple Oatmeal Bowls.
